Selah Cliffs formed 12-million years ago from the longest known lava flow on earth – from west-central Idaho to the Pacific Ocean.

The Spiral Jetty, the central work of American sculptor Robert Smithson constructed in 1970 of the mud, salt crystals, and basalt rocks found in the area.
